Your Veterinarian may suggest a post discharge follow-up visit for your pet after a major emergency or procedure. This allows an extra layer of support through your pet's recovery. 

When your pet experiences an injury which typically requires a weekly splint or bandage changes. Utilizing Skoop services allows you to provide your pet the care they need without interrupting your personal schedule.

Drains are used to reduce infection and proper healing generally for a wound or surgical procedure. These are typically short-term but may require special handling and recording for your  pet's next follow-up appointment. This may not be for everyone but we are the ones who can assist if it makes you uneasy. 

We all need a little help in this department at some time or another. When we do, there is no better person to have than a nurse by your backside. We can help provide that extra PUSH to alleviate discomfort your pet maybe experiencing.

There are times when a pet will require fluid therapy. This can only be recommended by a veterinarian but this KIND of care is best delivered by a nurse. Precise to doctor orders, we deliver care and keep your veterinarian updated.

Not everyone is experienced to manage a pet who requires a feeding-tube, but we can. Our technicians are familiar with the sensitivity of the site, feeding regiments, trouble-shooting and recognizing infections associated with these apparatuses.  

Medications are prescribed to improve a symptom, treat pain or manage a condition. Some medications are better absorbed using different routes while others come only in a specific form. When your pet requires an injection we may be able to help if your uncomfortable. Depending on your pets condition speak to your veterinarian if you think we can assist. We do not carry narcotics or medications with us. All medications need to be purchased from your veterinarian prior. 

It is common for a veterinarian to recommend general physical therapy for pet parents to perform at home. When that become too difficult to manage we can step in. We can perform basic physical therapies which include PROM, cold/warm therapy and strength training. 

Urinary issues effect cats and dogs differently. When your pet is unable to empty their bladder this is considered a life threatening emergency.

In these instances your pet is in need of immediate attention. However in some cases after being seen by a veterinarian, this may be recommended to perform after discharge.
