Clara G, LVT

Founder | Home Veterinary Nurse

Clara is a Native New Yorker, mother and licensed veterinary nurse. She earned her Veterinary Technology degree from LaGuardia Community College in 2008. Born and raised by the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center, she gained extensive clinical training in surgical nursing, anesthesia, wound care, post-operative recovery and rehabilitation. She later advanced into surgical anesthesia leadership at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in 2010, broadening her skill set across multiple specialties and fast-paced clinical environments. However, Clara began to notice an underserved problem affecting pet families throughout her experience. A problem that seemed to caused pet families to return prematurely to the hospital. She noticed families were struggle at home and wanted to create a solution only veterinary nurses could solve.

During COVID when her 87-year-old father required an emergent pacemaker placement, she saw how visiting nurses helped him regain strength, monitored comfort, all while alleviating caregiver burden. She recognized that pets and their families deserved the same. In 2021, she launched SKOOP to bridge the gap between TGH and the next recheck appointment. Creating a system that ensures smoother recoveries and more confident pet parents. Her dedication centers on empowering veterinary nurses, strengthening the veterinarian–client–patient relationship, promoting continuity of care, and advancing both longevity and quality of life for the animals we love.

Providing compassionate, reliable care that keeps your pets healthy, comfortable, and happy—while giving you peace of mind.
